Large Language Models (LLMs) have been the hottest topic on the internet for nearly 2 years now. The day ChatGPT was announced since then - we have seen 1000s of new companies being formed and several being obsolete overnight. That’s the kind of disruption AI has been. It feels like we are back to the launch of an iPhone, a brand new platform for builders to leverage and shape the future. The shift to AI is as significant, if not more than the shift to cloud. Everyone will build with it or on it.

With a technology of such significance, there are a lot of things that are going wrong. We are seeing a heavily capitalistic move of having a handful of gatekeepers for frontier LLMs. There are privacy and security risks that are being ignored, and most of all, there is a disregard for specializations in these models. However, we believe, a technology that is so disruptive, deserves to be accessible and usable for all. And, that’s why we are building Pipeshift AI.

Why Open-source LLMs?

Today, the gap between open-source LLMs (Llama, Mistral, Gemma) and closed-source LLMs (GPT/Claude/Gemini) is narrowing every month. With the latest Llama 3.1 series of models, there is no excuse for not choosing open-source anymore.

With open-source models, you get,

  1. IP/model Ownership
  2. Higher accuracy (when fine-tuned)
  3. Better speeds and latencies
  4. Much lower cost of inference

What is Pipeshift AI?

Pipeshift AI provides a fast and scalable infrastructure for fine-tuning and inferencing open-source LLMs. We abstract away the training + inferencing infrastructure and the tooling around it, enabling engineering teams to get to production with all the optimizations and one-click deployments. There’s no random or unnecessary CLI or Jupyter/Colab notebook or Python library. We offer a 10x better developer experience. Think “Supabase” or “Superhuman” for fine-tuning and inference.

If you are considering switching from GPT/Claude/Gemini to open-source models, we'd love to help. Our beta access waitlist is now open.
